Search engine optimizing, or SEO sort is nothing more or less than making your page friendly for search engines like Google, Bing, or Yahoo.

When someone searches for specific info that your site provides, good Search Engines Optimizing will show your page or blog in a higher position at the search results.

The best traffic or visitors you can get comes from direct searching in search engines (organic search). This traffic is free and targeted and people are willing to read info where they have searched for themselves.

Writing content is completely useless as no one can find it.

Here you will find the used terminology, tips, do's, and don't to make your site rank up higher in search engines.

About SEO in general

To start off with a little disappointing…. The days of just set and forget SEO are long gone now.

Optimizing your page with keywords and titles is just the simple basics and serves only as a driving force for your first hits in the modern search algorithms. If people leave your site quickly with no interaction, your site will be rated down in the search engine algorithms fast.

Search engines look heavy at interaction with your page by users and your post frequency in 2022 and beyond.

A high ranking will take time also, don't expect a direct page 1 search result position after you progress your SEO steps.
A blog or site needs time to grow, and fresh content postings regularly.

If you didn't start a blog yet, it is a good idea to write about 15-20 articles in a doc file before you start your blog. This will give you a good idea about the structure of your new blog and
gives you some time because you have worked ahead.

Don't release all your content at once but spread it regularly, like weekly, every two days, or 5 times a day, depending on your blog niche and time.

The so-called outside page SEO like quality backlinks, social appearance (and likes, thumbs, or clicks from it), surf time, and internal clicks are the things that make the difference, good search engine optimizing will take constant work over a long period.

Inside page Seo

Inside post SEO is things that you can do inside your article post to optimize it. Inside SEO is essential, every serious blogger spends time on it. Without proper inside SEO, your page won't be found at all and you will not have a chance to create an acceptable visitor base.

There is a lot to check and keep in mind about inside-page SEO while creating or writing a blog.
Don't get a little less depressed now, A big part needs only to be set up once and will benefit for as long as your page is online. You can check and investigate your site SEO with these handy free tools

Good page layout setup for search engine optimizing

The very first thing to do is get a real domain name like .com or a land code extension (.nl, .uk, .au) these will cost you online about $ 12.00 - $ 16.00 a year at NameCheap or Godaddy.

I mean, Did you ever see a or a high inside search engine rankings?

Secondly, Is to get a highly SEO optimized custom template for your blog, especially when you are using Blogger. This site, that you are reading now, is a blogger blog with a custom template BTW

You can find a lot of good free or one-time payment SEO optimized templates online by searching for "Seo optimized blogger (or WordPress) templates free" or even an AMP and Seo optimized template.

Keep it simple and user-friendly, don’t let people get lost in hard-to-find menus, etc. in nine of the ten causes a top header/footer and sidebar will do the job.

The top bar header and sidebar will be the same on all your pages and this can contain, menu, info about yourself, menu, highlighted articles, (commercial) banners, contact form, or pieces of a script which you want to appear in all your pages.

To decrease page load time, use scripts in the footer, in this way your content will be there first and the scripts ”tricks” afterward. Clean text links will index the best in search engines.

Do everything in your power to make people stay and click on other articles inside your blog.
People read the most entertainment posting on their smartphones or tablets.

Creating responsive mobile-friendly pages is absolutely essential.

If you don't have too many articles on your blog yet, I highly recommend you make your blog AMP-friendly. AMP (Accelerated Mobile Protocol) is an open-source project that works as an external cache for mobile devices. Highly accelerating pages and search engine indexing Goto the official AMP Page here

What is Bounce rate doing for SEO

A “bounce” is when people enter a post on your blog and leave in a short period without any interaction in your site (click, scroll, etc). Search engines love low bounce rates and pages with high interaction will scale in their algorithms fast. Bounce rates are calculated on a blog post level and not site-wide. This means have that one blog post can have a high bounce rate and another a low.

You want to have your evergreen content a low bounce rate.  So, you to make sure that if someone enters your pillar content they will read or interact with it. Because this will rank your main content and build organic traffic.

You can create a "landing page" with a few images to your pillar content and advertise this landing page in mass traffic programs. The landing page will have a high bounce rate because lots of people will see it but don't respond to it. That your landing page doesn't rank up is not important because that's not the goal of that page. The goal of a landing page is to attack attention and redirect people to the right content that they will read. If they click on a blog post banner on your landing page this means that they wanted to read that specific main content article. Never advertise your main content or home page blogroll in low converting mass traffic programs, use a specially-designed landing page for that.

You can advertise your main content on social media directly. People click only on your social media post if they want to read the advertised main blog content.

Blog Page vs Blog Post

The Page and Post terms inside Blogger, WordPress, or Tumblr can be a bit confusing because they look the same but they are definitely not!

A page is a site in itself and will always be in the same place but has lower SEO configuration possibilities than a post. On a page, you can set the page title and description only. The timestamp of a page is locked and can't be changed.

A page is best used for longer, evergreen content. and the "end goal" where your affiliate links are. Pages are the places where want to end your visitors.  Pages will/can be linked to your menu widget.

A post will be placed on your blogroll at your homepage with the latest post at the top, like the timeline of  Facebook. A blogger post has a description, a title, editable timestamp, location tag, and labels.

Posting will be found easier in search engines than pages will. The title of the post is a clickable link to display that post separately from the blogroll as a stand-alone post. A post is best used as a wrap-around or story to guide your readers to an evergreen article on a page.

Most of the time I use a page for my main (evergreen) content in newspaper style (Headline - Bold intro - Content).

Over time, I can create one or more postings with inline links to my main page article.

In this way, I can easily reuse my main evergreen content by writing a teaser, update, or trend-related postings.

If people click on an internal inline text link, from my post to my page, I have generated an interaction that provides me with a lower bounce rate.

SEO Title Tag optimizing

The title is what you see inside the tab when you opened a page and is the most important inner SEO part. Use keywords and emotions inside your title and never leave a page as an “untitled document”

Title tag checklist

Kristine Schachinger wrote a perfect checklist on how to write optimized title tags in her original post, so I’m copying it for you here, with a few minor updates: Length: Title tags should be 50-60 characters long, including spaces.
  • Keyword placement: Your most important keywords need to be first in your title tag, with your least important words coming last.
  • Brand name: If your company name is not part of the important keyword phrases, put it at the end of the title tag.
  • Do not duplicate title tags: They must be written differently for every page. Don’t mass replicate your title tags it will negatively affect your search visibility.
  • Make it relevant: Title tags must accurately describe the content on the page.
  • Do not ‘keyword stuff’ title tags: these are badly written title tags that try to rank for everything or repeat a word over and over. Keyword stuffing is the worst offense when it comes to title tags and you will be penalized for it.
  • Make your headline (<h1> tag) different from the title tag: This is another opportunity to vary the keyword phrasing of your page and increase its chances of appearing for different search intent.

Good examples of SEO title use

ANYTHING review | Scam or legit?
How to use ANYTHING the best way
7 top best ways off ANYTHING
The page description is the little text you see in the search results below your title. This should be catchy as an intro to your article and has your most prominent keywords in a little story. Page description can be up to 160 characters.
Think like a “tweet” for Example, “Here is my honest review about ANYTHING. Is it legit and useful or just another big scam?  Check out what it really is and why and how to use it”

Keywords, hashtags, and labels

Keywords in the keywords section are heavily overrated and low weighted by search engines, very old school, some hashtags at the bottom are a new way.

Header and subheaders

Use proper headers and subheader with keywords ( <h1> <h2> <h3> )

Images for SEO

Use social media-friendly image sizes, you want good-looking clickable links on social media sites. Social media will take the link picture from your blog site when your post got shared.

Always name your pictures, tables, etc with the alt tag attribute, shortly and with a keyword, don’t clutter up keywords or use long alt tags.

Google uses this for its image indexing.
Some examples are “free success arrow”, “money from home chart”.

It might be a good idea to watermark all your images also. When people use your images inside their own projects, your web page is printed in it. Providing you a long-term, endless, promotion display.

Set OG meta tags and rich snippets

This is a bit of tech stuff to walk the extra mile. OG meta tags and rich snippets affect how your page will show up in the search result and media shares only. They just can make your appearance look more attractive and don't  google ranking directly

OG meta tags

OpenGraph (OG Tags) was originally introduced by Facebook in 2010 and, later on, adopted by Google +, Pinterest, Twitter.

OG tags are <meta> tags that can be placed in the <head> section of your HTML
to step up how your site will appear on social media when visitors like or share it.

When not set, social media will try to scrape raw data from your page title, description, and images on your page

In the example below, Open Graph will tell Facebook which image, title, and description to use when the page is shared.

<meta property="og:description" content="Page content description" />
<meta property="og:url" content="" />
<meta property="og:image" content="/path/to/image.jpg" />

Twitter has some extra tags in it his basic setup

<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image">
<meta name="twitter:site" content="@rapidweaver">
<meta name="twitter:creator" content="@twitter-username">
<meta name="twitter:title" content="Page Titles">
<meta name="twitter:description" content="Description of the page content">
<meta name="twitter:image" content="/path/to/image.png">

You can create good marked up tags easily, by using this Free complete meta tag generator

Rich snippets

A snippet is how Google shows the search results to the user.

For example: If you were googling  "DIY Coffee". Google shows you a list with normal snippets and rich snippets.

A normal snippet usually looks like this:

Seo search result of a raw snippet
A normal (raw) snippet in google search results

Where a rich snippet set up of your page MIGHT look like this

Seo search result of a rich snippet
Search result in google when using rich snippets

The big" might" is that there is no guarantee that Google will display the search results to your page like this. Sometimes Google will display your snippets for a long period, a short period, or not at all.
This depends on many (for me) unknown factors.

You can create a piece of rich content script for your page with this Free Rich snippets generator
Just follow the steps, generate it and paste the script inside your page as HTML

When done, you can test your appearance with the Google official rich snippets testing tool

You can find more about the rich snippets markup on the official Google data markup page

Match your article with the keywords

Your article should have 3-6% keywords and a few inner links to related articles. Just "show" that your article matches your article or even better, do it backward, write your article, and read back which words are keep coming back and can be used to optimize your headers, title, etc

Benchmark your SEO with other sites

A shady trick, just Google yourself for an article like yours and look at which title, keyword, headers, and description are been used by the high hits of Google, use those in a rewritten way.

Outside page SEO

This is where the real winner work starts, Outside page SEO is everything you can do to promote your article/blog to rank up inside search engines. See your blog as a center of a mini web and link to it from as many as possible GOOD sources.

Do’s, and don'ts

These things will only hurt your search engine optimization

1. “Forced views” to main content. These are views where you just pop your blog in front of people that didn’t choose to go to your blog post. By this, I mean direct hits from Paid to Click sites, Whitelist mailers, pop-under advertising, Traffic exchangers. Like  I said before, Use a special landing page for that kind of traffic. The very worst is bot traffic from auto-surf programs (No matter what they promise, never, ever use auto-surf).

2. Anything that can be considered as “black hat SEO”. Leave that one for the porn guys. The best site to learn about blackhat SEO (the wrong things to do) is adult webmasters forum gfy or blackhatworld

3. Buying or using cheap backlinks. A backlink is simply a link on another site that points to your site. In basic, backlinks are very good but they are weighted on which sites they are. Buying 1000 cheap backlinks will only provide you links from sites in auction or mass link sites and will not help, or even hurt, your SEO

4. Buying Facebook likes, comments, etc. These come from spamming empty social accounts mostly, Users will report these accounts as spam and the social platform moderator will remove that empty social account in a short period, making your likes count down, and search engines will notice that.

5. Use copied stolen content. The original content has a timestamp in google search algorithms. When you use copied content, your timestamp will be later. Google notifies that and wages the original as high-quality content because it seems to be worth copying. The original content will rank up and your copied content will be slammed down in the search result.

Submit your site to the big search engines like google, bing, yahoo, duckagogo, if you have one backlink somewhere posted, search engines should find your site by itself

2. Create Social media postings with a link to your blog, likes, shares, thumbs, hearts will help a lot. Just spread your site in many as high-quality pages that have interaction as possible.
Tip. Google loves google the most. Youtube and Pinterest are a must to post links to your site.

The other big ones like Facebook, Twitter, linked in, Instagram. Pinterest etc. will help enormously also. The more interaction the better but beware that you don’t get lost in social media. It’s better to maintain 2 different accounts than 10 not.

Also, different social media sites have different approaches.

Pinterest can be used as a visual search engine and will give you a boost when you set up keywords and descriptions into your boards and pins.

Instagram can't have clickable links inside the postings, you can set up only one clickable link into your profile. I use a popular post overview page as my Instagram profile clickable link

3. Forum postings with a linked signature, banner clicks from high ranked sites, intro blog postings with a read more link to your site on ad boards or social blog sites like;

MLM gateway (business announcements)

Ibotoolbox (press releases and personal public marketing profile)
Easyhits4u (Social connecting, public personal marketing profile, writing article, profile -> example )

4. Always fill in your profile or social sites when programs have a special section for this, with a link to your blog of course. read my article "How to write a smashing public marketer profile"

5. Posting in well-known (local) second-hand sites and magazines like,,, in sort, try to get your link to anything that has a high Google PageRank.

6. Article submission, these are sites where you can submit a link from your article to, you will find anything about article submission and a list of 200 good submission sites in digitalseoguide top-high-pr-free-do-follow-article-submission-sites-list/

7. Fish for post comment, thumbs, etc. If you are working in a team-building group, ask the members to read your new post and comment on it.

Practicing search engine optimizing

    All of this might seem like a lot to think of and hard to do.

    The most important thing that you need to keep in mind is that after you wrote an article, you spend some time setting up the inner page SEO directly afterward.

    Here is a small summary of the most important thing for Seach Engine Optimization;

        • A good domain name and SEO friendly template
        • An excellent user experience
        • Value content posted in a constant way
        • High (shareable) social media appearance

    This needs to go inside your system and is just as important as writing the article itself.

    This checklist can be used to do your outside page SEO step by step over time to keep your search indexing optimized.
